About a month ago, I wrote a post that was a bit cynical about Crossfit. Was I a little rough on Crossfit? Maybe, but I wrote what I believed to be some negative aspects of the the program.
This time, however, I’m here to talk about the positives I see in Crossfit. Actually, it’s just one positive aspect, … Continue reading
Who’s responsible for you?
Your parents? Your children? Your spouse? Your government?
When some breaks into your house, who’s going to protect you?
When your house is on fire, who’s going to pull you out of it?
When you sprain your ankle, who’s going to rehab it?
When you’re going out to eat, who’s going to tell you the restaurant … Continue reading
A healthy body is like an efficient manufacturing-plant. Each of the individual processes (in the body and the plant) are occurring in-sync and at the proper rates. There are no hiccups in the system, so everyone is happy – the CEOs who own the plant, and you, the owner of your body.
Or, what if a healthy body is like … Continue reading
Ever hear someone say “gahhh, I threw my back out again”?
My bet is you probably have. It’s a funny little saying people use to say lament over their back injuries. But how do people injure their backs? How do you get back pain? Can you really “throw” your back out?
Actually, you don’t really “throw” your back out – … Continue reading
I’m doing this post today to share a cool trick I’ve learned while doing kettlebell swings. To be completely honest, it IMMEDIATELY fixed my lifting technique. I’m talking a matter of seconds. The kicker here is that this “trick” might save my back from injury in the long run.
But first, let me tell you a quick story.

I am simply critiquing certain dispositions of (some members/affiliates of) the Crossfit community I’ve seen. What I’ve seen, as well as my experiences with this program in particular, appears … Continue reading

I guess it goes to show that compulsively stretching in extreme end-ranges of flexion and extension for months … Continue reading
Is that true? Or you TRULY unable to lose weight? Or are you lying to yourself?
If you count calories, and, let’s say, you swear you’re eating 1500 calories and burning off 3000 calories a day… But, for some reason, you’re not losing weight…
Are we first-world men becoming girly?
Instead of brawling it out, are members of the male race “working things out” while going to shop at the candle store at the mall? WHAT’S HAPPENING TO US?!
Are any of you guys like me, where you frantically try to find a solution to a problem and go overkill on it once you find the solution?
For example, you sprain your wrist, and you aggressively “rehab” it with lots of stretching and strengthening, only to realize months later that your wrist was made even worse.
And if you … Continue reading
